On May 23, 2024, the Chinese Embassy in the UK held the "Tea and the World, ChuTianHao Tea" cultural event. Chinese Ambassador to the UK Zheng Zeguang and his wife, Counsellor Huamei, invited over 30 guests to gather together to taste the famous tea from Hubei Province, appreciate Chinese art performances, experience Chinese calligraphy art, and jointly feel the charm of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
Ambassador Zheng Zeguang and Counsellor Hua Mei stated in their speeches that China is the birthplace of tea, and a total of 43 tea making techniques and related customs have been included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. China has a tradition of entertaining guests and making friends with tea since ancient times. Chinese tea culture carries the philosophical idea of "unity of heaven and man, humility and etiquette". The Chinese tea industry plays a very important role in protecting the ecological environment, achieving poverty alleviation, and promoting economic and social development. Hubei Province has a long history of tea cultivation and trade, and in recent years, the tea industry has developed rapidly, with active international exchanges in tea culture. Guests from all walks of life eagerly tasted Enshi Yulu, Yihong Congou tea, and Qingzhuan tea produced in Hubei Province, listened to British experts and scholars explain the history and culture of Chinese tea, enjoyed on-site calligraphy explanations and demonstrations brought by Chinese calligraphers, watched Chinese and British artists perform wonderful literary and artistic programs such as bell chimes and Xiao's ensemble "Plum Blossom Three Lane", classical guitar playing "Silk Road Camel Bell" and "Xinjiang Fantasia". On May 24, 2024, a cultural event called "Tea and the World, ChuTianHao Tea" was held in the world cultural heritage city of Bath, UK, and a ChuTianHao Tea exhibition area was set up. At the event, Hubei Tea Group brought Enshi Yulu, Yihong Congou tea and other historical famous teas from Hubei, as well as related tea art and culture, to make a stunning appearance.
