Heritage and Terroir: Tea Gardens of Hubei Tea Group

In the world of fine tea, origin is everything. Rooted in deep cultural heritage and blessed with diverse ecosystems, our historic tea enterprise draws its strength from three celebrated tea-producing regions in Hubei Province: Chibi, Yichang, and Enshi. Each region brings a distinct terroir, time-honored craft, and iconic tea variety to our global collection.

Chibi: The Cradle of Green Brick Tea (Qing Zhuan Tea)

Located along the ancient Tea Road, Chibi is renowned as the historical birthplace of Dark Tea, particularly Green Brick Tea (Qing Zhuan Tea). The region’s warm climate and abundant rainfall provide optimal conditions for mature tea leaves rich in polyphenols and mineral content.

Through a process of post-fermentation and dense compression, Chibi Green Brick Tea develops its signature deep flavor profile—mellow, smooth, and naturally sweet with a lingering woody aroma. Historically prized along the Silk Road for its health benefits and shelf life, this tea remains a staple of our heritage offerings.

  • Signature Tea:Green Brick Tea (Qing Zhuan Tea)
  • Profile:Post-fermented, deep, rich, and wood-toned with high aging potential.

Yichang: Home of Yihong Congou Black Tea

Situated along the scenic stretches of the Yangtze River, Yichang boasts mist-shrouded hills and fertile soil, creating a mild environment ideal for high-quality black tea production. Yichang is the historical production hub for Yihong Congou, one of China’s most distinguished traditional black teas.

Crafted through fine plucking and meticulous fermentation, Yihong  Congou Black Tea is celebrated for its tight, slender leaves covered in golden tips. The liquor brews into a bright, clear red with a refined balance of sweet floral and ripe fruit notes, delivering a velvety smooth mouthfeel.

Enshi: Pristine Mountain Mist and Steamed Green Tea (Enshi Yulu)

Nestled in the high-altitude, forested mountains of southwestern Hubei, Enshi is famous for its clean air, natural selenium-rich soil, and unique microclimate. This pristine ecosystem produces exceptional early spring green teas, most notably Enshi Yulu and Queshe ("Sparrow’s Tongue").

Enshi Yulu stands out as one of the few remaining Chinese green teas crafted using traditional steam-fixing methods. This technique preserves the leaf's vibrant emerald color, high amino acid content, and delicate natural freshness. The result is a cup with a rich savory umami, clear liquor, and a refreshing, sweet finish.

  • Signature Teas:Enshi Yulu, Early Spring Queshe Green Tea
  • Profile:Steamed green tea, vibrant green hue, rich in umami, fresh, and high in natural nutrients.
